Alexa arrived just a bit ahead of schedule. Alisha had a regularly scheduled appointment yesterday (March 17th) at 9:30am. Here doctor asked her if she "wanted to do natural or come in the morning and have them break her waters." Alisha agreed to the morning appointment which was 7:30am on Tuesday March 18th, exactly the time that I am posting this message.
At about 8:30-9pm last night Alisha started have painful contractions. I phoned my good brother Nate who dropped everything and came to the house to stay with the boys. We met him at the stop sign near our home at about 9:45pm. We arrived at the hospital and were able to get checked in at about 10:10. The nurses, about five of them, started the baby heart monitor at about 10:19 and a few minutes later the waters broke. Alexa arrived at 10:40pm exactly 30 minutes after getting to the hospital. The five nurses did great without a doctor present, Alisha's doctor arrived about 10:45pm, just in time for the cleanup.
Obviously things went way too fast for Alisha to receive any pain meds. I guess she can say now that she knows what natural child birth is all about. She was quite the trooper.
Here are a couple of photos from early this morning.
Alexa weighed in at 6 pounds 15oz and measured 19.5 inches.More photos later with Alexa's three favorite brothers!

Conratulations!! So glad everyone is healthly and happy.
First two thoughts....
1) Have they named her after cars and misspelled it in the process? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Elise and www.lexus.com) There are much worse cars to name a child after In my opinion. Think Caravan or Pilot. Or, even LeSabre or Corolla. Accord? Not so bad.
2) What's this about "my good brother Nate"? What's this brother? Chopped liver? Clearly not THE good one. Oh, to be like my brother Nathan. I can always hope. ;-)
