A few happenings

Last weekend we had record snowfall for April, and the boys had one last chance to play in the snow. Dad even got to play with them since it was so wet he didn't have to plow (he had taken his snow blower apart anyway).

Dad didn't last quite as long as them though as it was still coming down and quite windy. The day before was this season's first games. Joshua's was at 3:00 in the afternoon and somewhat tolerable outside. Samuel's was at 10:00 in the morning and too windy and cold to take any pictures (maybe next time).

Alexa loves stuffed animals and baby dolls. This musical puppy from Aunt Laurie is a definite favorite. She is still on her hands and knees most of the time. I read that some babies take a break from talking as they focus on walking and vice versa. It seems she is opting to communicate as she has learned four new words (please, all done, bye-bye, and no-no) this last week to add to her already impressive six other words (uh- oh, mama, doggie, more, good job, and dada).
She wants to eat whatever we are eating and she wants to be in control --thus the pot of mashed potatoes she is finishing off by herself--quite a character.

She also has been exploring storing food for later. She has tried sticking it in her ears, on her head, as well as in the hole down behind where she sits. This is strawberry and cantaloupe.
This was crackers which aren't as sticky and thus don't stay put as well.

January

We know we have gotten a little behind on posting lately. (Things never really slowed down much after Christmas like we expected.) Here are a few of the photos of what we have been up to while we were feeling well over the last six weeks or so.

Things inside:
Sculpey clay, foam pieces, & paper.
Art projects for school.Wii, wii, & more wii (Mario Kart is the definite favorite).
Things outside:
One nice day to try out the new goal.
Snow (although most of the time--too cold to enjoy).
Things all around:
She's a mover and a shaker--she is into tons of things and loves dancing to all music.
